Growing Our Reach - Transforming CTA into an Arts Center
CTA’s goal is to make the current annex into an arts center, where our students will learn dancing, acting and music in two new state-of-the-art classrooms and the largest space will be a black box theatre that will seat more than 75 patrons. With this fully functioning theatre space, CTA plans to open it up for other community groups to use, as CTA’s black box will be the only one available for general rental in all of Annapolis. CTA will also have the space and opportunity to open our doors to more underserved children.
Our goal for this campaign is to raise $350,000, which will enable us to build a state-of-the-art facility, a rain garden with native plants and enhance our program offerings. This campaign is not just about raising funds; it’s about building a future where children like Abigail, who says, “Children’s Theatre of Annapolis has changed my life immensely. Acting and singing have always been a huge part of my life and CTA has uplifted me in those endeavors and given me a newfound confidence that I don’t believe I would have today if it weren’t for CTA,” can thrive at CTA.
